Where
does the pricing data come from? |
| 1. | Sales offers for medical products are made to Chemists and Dispensing Doctors by wholesalers and manufacturers on a daily basis. |
| 2. | These offerings are made in a variety of ways, including: post, fax, phone, email and via sales people. |
| 3. | We collect these offerings from across the UK and this data is then entered into our databases. |
| 4. | This information is then posted at wavedata.net, and updated hourly. |
| 5. | Data
stays on wavedata.net for a rolling 35 days, so that when a price is 36 days old it disappears from the site. |
| 6. | The
products seen on wavedata.net are broadly categorised as Medical, this means that as well as imported, branded and generic pharmaceutical prices, information can be found on Surgicals, dressings, vitamins, nutritionals etc. |
The same data has a number of other applications
| 1. | Historical data showing changes and trends over longer time periods is added to the Pharma Touchstone database. This allows users to see individual prices going back as far as September 2000. |
| 2. | Generic
pharmaceuticals change in price in a predictable manner, and our statistical modelling tool PROfesy CR is based at www.wavedata.biz |
Drug
Tariff |
